Difficult to Define a Human

It is very hard to define a human. A human has various details. Every single human is different and have different characteristics. There are various reasons why its hard to define a human but im only going to explain two main reasons.

The first main reason is that every human being has there own characteristics. It will be impossible to find a human that look alike and have the same talents as there partner. You maybe able to find people that look alike ,but not the same talents its is highly doubted. If you do find some people like that you should be given a world record that you found a pair of people with the same talent and look alike. Now back to the point it is impossible to be able to define human.

The second main reason is that the differences of how other people act. You can probably find a majority of people that act the same but highly doubt that everyone will act the same.

Your words define your actions, and your actions define you.

     At first when I was given this idea that actions define you, I thought it was as simple as that. That actions define who you are. But after reading this article my whole point of view had been changed, the article shows an example of a man, a man Hauls at a man and punches them in their face then walks away, and says nothing. Sounds like a criminal type right? but if he says, "If you ever touch my ten year old daughter again I'll do worse!" Then it's a whole different ball game, people root for the man then, but previously they would be on the other mans side, the man who gets punched would be the victim here. But just a few words and its a different story, this is an example that shows that if an action is done without words it could be less reasonable than it would be if you spoke out.

     It is not only the action that defines who you are, it could be the difference of being either a hero or an evil-doer, it is also the words which define you. For instance, if you saw a man with a gun and he pulls the trigger, and then the man of who was being aimed at drops, you would immediately infer that he shot him. But there is always a back story to everything that you see, he could be shooting some type of fake bullet and the other man drops as a form of acting. In that sort of situation you might have accidently done something extreme, perhaps running at the armed murderer and pushing him off the cliff. Now that would be bad, one thing you have to do before making extreme decisions, is that you have to observe everything that happened very very closely, otherwise you might end up throwing someone off the cliff!! 

     I'm sure I'm not the only one that made this mistake, but one time, I saw two kids with their fists in a ball and swinging at each other, I immediately thought it was a full on fight, but they were doing near miss punches (a form of play fighting where you swing at the target but nearly miss/skin them). I broke up the fight and I ended up stupid breaking up a play fight... I'm starting to get off track here... What I'm trying to say is without words, you can't really be sure of the actions that are being presented to you, words define an action, and actions define you.

Who Deserves What?

Some people might say that a rapist deserves to die, no mercy should be shown. Others might say that the rapist is a human and deserves the same treatment that any other human would get.

Well my opinion of the matter varies. A rapist shouldn't get the same type of treatment a freeman should get. The rapist or person has done wrong should be punished for their wrong doing, and if any type of mental illness has occurred they need to be treated and once they are cured they may have the same treatment that a freeman would have.

But, a freeman and a freeman should be treated with the same type of respect and treatment as any other man. No matter race, gender, and religion. 

In our society unfortunately we can see people not being treated equally because of their race, gender, and religion. And it will never change. I have heard people say that the United States is definitely 100% equal to everyone. Well that's a lot of garbage. In present time, a man will get paid more than a woman would. Does that sound 100% equal to you? Someone might not hire any other race unless they are the same race as the person. 

In the story The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer, a boy named Matt is a clone and is treated like a dog. The people treat him terrible because he is a clone. That is not right at all. I could see if Matt looked like a dog, but he doesn't. He looks like any other kid on the block, no different than any other human. Yet, he is still treated terrible. People ignore him, think he is a beast, because of him being a clone. 

In this day in age we don't have the clone problem (not yet anyways), we have the problem of race, gender, and religion differences.

In the article "Clinton: All people deserve to be treated with dignity", Hilary Clinton says, "All people deserve to be treated with dignity, no matter who they are or whom they love." This statement speaks for itself. No matter how different someone may act, look, or think. They deserved to be treated equally.

CLONING IS REALLY JUST NATURE

Hey hey. So you might be wondering why my title is "CLONING IS REALLY JUST NATURE", right? Right. I went online and found this website article thing that has this cool 8 minuet long video about cloning and I have to admit, I couldn't care less if someone cloned me! [:

The big question here is does science and morality have anything to do what each other. My answer is yes and no. Basically what this scientist guy is saying is that cloning happens everyday with humans! Yeah. EVERYDAY. It's when a mother has twins which are like 2 copies of one person. Trust me; the scientist guy explains it waaaaaaaaaay better. His accent is just so convincing!

Anyway, it's true when people say if you clone someone you're, "playing God". But God knows everything. Like past, present, and future. So if He allowed you to make a clone or even discover that it's possible then He obviously did it for a reason!

Just watch the video please; it would totally prove my point. The scientist guy also gave a good example of some lady or couple that sent him a letter or something saying that they had a baby with a brain problem and died. The couple was wondering if he could use the tissue from the baby to clone him and see what their little Mark was going to turn out to be. That's sad right?

Back to the big question, in my optinion it's fine because what are the morals against creating a clone? That you're trying to play God? Well he created this for some reason right? Having twins is also kinda like cloning. And when women need help having a child they're given drugs or something that causes her eggs to come out more, potentially leading to having twins ARTIFICIALLY.

It's like, nothing is real anymore these days so why fight it? xD

                                                        How To Make Lasagna & Brownies

Today I made lasagna for dinner, yes Im a chef. No Im just kidding! Well any hoo it was delicious so I want to tell you how to make it, so you can enjoy it. BUt i did not forget dessert, I am also going to tell you how to make brownies!!!


Supplies needed: Lasagna noodles, tomato sauce (spagetti sauce), cheese, ground beef or turkey, bell peppers, a pan, and an oven.

1.Boil water
2.put noodles in water until tender
3.drain noodles and run cold water over them
4.cook ground beef or turkey with some of the sauce
5.pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees
6.place noodles across bottom of pan
7. spread the meat evenly
 8.place peppers across
9.put a generous amount of cheese across the top
10. add aditional sauce for moisture
11. repeat this until you reach the top
12. place in oven
13.check progress every 10 to 15 minutes
14.The entire process will take about 50-60 minutes
15.allow to cool but not to much
16. slice evenly and enjoy


Supplies needed: Brownie mix,eggs, vegitable oil,butter, and water

1.put all the ingrediants in a bowl and stir thourghly
2.butter the bottom of the pan
3.put mix in pan
4.pre-heat the oven to 350
5.add any extras (carmal, nuts etc.)
6.put in oven for 30 minutes
7. take out and allow to cool
8. Enjoy c: !!!!

The role were given, Should we except it?

                                                                   Excepted or Denied

Everyone has different roles to play in life,and we should except the role we are given? I have to completely disagree with this, because just because someone lables you as something it is not always who you are. In these articles they all give different examples of how society looks at a group to judge them, and the group excepts the judgment as their reallity.

 

If you are  not sure what I am talking about I will give you an example, that applies to my life. Ok as you all know my race, some people feel that it is their place to categorize me. People often love to ask me whether I like koolaid or fried chicken which are both tacky sterio types. I feel the color of my skin has nothing to do with the piece of meat I prefer or the drink I like best. I have grown a tolerance for the childish jokes; because I have realized if I react how it is expected, I will be placed back in the race box.

 

It is a sad truth that people want to be excepted so bad they will except this harsh title, that is placed above their heads. If someone says you are a killer, because your father was a killer, why would you except that. Sometimes we have to listen to what people say, and decide for ourselves if we like the way that sounds, when someone is referring to you.

 

 

The role are given in life, should we except it? I would not, but can you? Sure. If you like for people to judge you based on someone in the past, hey that is cool for you. Live in a box, and except the role you were given. Once you take the role, it is your responsibillity.

What is a Human?

As simple as it sounds, the definition of human is commonly misunderstood by many. It's one of those words where you have to look up right when it gets you thinking. According to this dictionary page it is any individual of the genus homo, especially a member of the homo sapiens. This may sound true however this is the scientific definition of a human being. Is there a way to put it in your own words? Well I believe that a human is an individual creature in which it has it's own opinions and way of life along with it's individuality in physical and mental appearance. Either way it has something to do with individuality but how are we all alike as in a species? Well most of us have similar characteristics such as having eyes and ears although some may not be grown up with them we were meant to be created with a similar structure. And although others may disagree with my definition I bet it will follow the same path as my statement.


Therefore the definition of the word human is like an opinion. There's no right from wrong and every one has their own. So, what I'm basically trying to tell you is that there is a definition for this word that is so mind blowing when it comes to trying to put it in your own words. Yes, there is a definition but there's one from all of us and I believe we can all agree that we are all alike in some ways thus making are ideas and opinions about our self's less complicated when it comes to expressing them to one another.    

Animal testing, according to this article, is cruel

     Animal testing is used to find cures for diseases which humans are currently infected with. But in order to test cures on animals they have to be infected with diseases first, for example, in order to test cures for brain cancer, first they must be infused with brain cancer, otherwise there would be nothing to test on. That is surely the cruelest part of animal testing, they have to go through the immense pain that the disease brings to them, and most of the time they end up dieing from the disease, or even worse, living with the disease.

The costs of animal testing is unefficient and expensive, it would  be much cheaper to use alternative sources, such as cadevers, instead of using minks, which people in the university of collegedale use, they could much rather use cadavers which are cheaper and more efficient. Some say it is a necessary evil to test on animals for the sake of saving humans. It isn't fair to the animals, many people would speak for these mute animals which are forced to be tested on, if they could speak up I am sure that they would rather not volunteer to be testing dolls, if they could speak up I'm sure they would not want to be infused with diseases like cancer or other types of diseases, I know I wouldn't, and animals have a mind of their own and they shouldn't be treated so differently as to how humans are treated.

I know that it would be much more efficient to use other alternatives, such as cadavers, and other than those, you can use corrositex, to measure the amount of corrosiveness, and another source is computers, you can program it to show how a disease progresses and how it festers, it would be much better than hurting animals.

Overall I think that testing on an animal is unfair, costly, and unefficient.

Animal Testing

Animals always have it bad for them. There is various reasons, but the main one is animal testing. Testing animals to people are good for somethings but sad at the same time. It is good in some cases like dieases.

The main reason why animal testing is good is because animals never stop breeding. When animals breed they have about six babies. So if you test on an animal that has six babies it wont really matter. It is good because if there is a diease, they can inject it and see if it harms the animal. If it doesnt harm it then it will be able to let out to the natrual enviroment. That is a short way to explain this reason.

In an article named "Why America Should Ban Animal Testing" it states that animal testing costs a lot. Well if the scientist were smart they wouldnt waste there time testing animals they could donate to a charity or dosomething for the community. It also states that 90% of the wild animals have it worse than labotory animals. Well, would a animal be locked up in a cage or be out in the wild you answer that! My facts are stated!

Yea animals have it bad for them but look at the animals in cages at the labatory. Yes it is good to test the animals but also very cruel!

I REALLY DON'T CARE

So Glenn Gordon had a lot of good points in his article, but i would still not agree with him. I'm 99.9% okay with animal testing!

If we didn't have animal testing then where would we all be right now? PROBABLY DISEASED AND DYING. Well maybe. I really don't understand what he meant by testing on dead people. How are scientists gonna do that? "Oh let me just infect this dead tissue with mold and see how the white blood cells are gonna fight it off! Wait, THE BODY'S CELLS ARE DEAD." Even if they find some "good" way to do that on dead people I probably still wouldn't care. I'm actually whatevers about all of this.

Okay sure animals have feelings but I mean they're already for people's pleasure anyway by being pets. And the mice; well why don't you make an article about mice being sold to snake owners to feed thier snakes?! HUH?! Yeah, there's something you might find interesting since every little unnessesary arguement gives you the urge to write an article against it. They don't have souls anyway so if they die then they just die.

Then Glenn says we treat animals as an inferrior species, or something like that. Well sorry but I don't see fish with a presidant or dogs who pay taxes or rats who go to school for an education. Um, yeah. They are inferrior compared to us.

And apperantly using animals is "incredibly costly". I don't know about you but I'd pay $1,000,000,000,000 to help find a cure for cancer if I had the money. Plus don't scientists get grants and stuff? I'm pretty sure they do! Plus the US is in debt anyway so #YOLO! Haha, just kidding. But seriously, if you need to pay for food for the snimals it wouln't be much of a big deal cause you know why?! BECAUSE THEY ARE LIKELY TO DIE SOONER ANYWAY. [:

In conclusion, I believe it's okay to test on animals. It's better for humans annnnnnnnnnnnnd... well yeah! Glenn, you had good points but I think we all know that deep inside I'm right. [:

Protect The Animals! No Argument.

In response to the article "Reasons We Should Protect Our Animals" I totally agree with there reasons for protecting animas. There reasons are because it to expensive, it's cruel, and because there are other effective ways than using animal.

I especially agree with there reason. "... there are far more efficient alternatives to animal testing." I agree strongly with that point because there are so many other ways of testing to where you don't have to use and hurt animals.

 It is crazy that our society chooses to hurt animals instead of using something less harmful, less expensive, and is still as effective. Why would anyone choose to hurt an animal rather  than using a computer. And with the computer and other things instead of animals, you can use it more and get the same if not better results.

 So I do not understand why people chose to use animals. It is like they want to hurt the poor, innocent, and defense less animals. More people need to stand up for the defenseless animals, because it this rate Humans will be the only thing on the Earth.

Animal Testing.... Oh I Mean Animal Cruelty

Many people consider animal testing to be a safer way to insure that medicine is efficient enough for human consumption, when in reality not only does it deeply affect the animals, it also leaves a bad impression on today's way of showing something is safe, by using it on an innocent animal. Animal testing has got to come to an end due to the fact that animals, which are like are neighbors kind of, are creatures that share the world we live in which gives us no right to mistreat them in order to make sure something isn't toxic. Not only is it cruel, animal testing is also expensive, therefore banning this cruel act can give us a bit more time and money to keep animal's and their habitats safe instead of putting them in jeapordy. But how will we know that medication is safe for the consumption of humans? Well, there has been found a skin-like substance that mimics our body thus giving scientist and doctors the right data of whether or not the medication is safe. Either way if I made a medication that had a risk of affecting someone negativily I would throw it in the trash. We have to take care of animals as if they were kids. Therefore banning Animal testing will prevent animal cruelty thus making the world a more peaceful place not only for us but also for our fellow "neighbors." Banning this cruel injustice shall benefit us all not in a bad way but in a positive nice way.

Black Friday

Black Friday is the day after what you are thankful for. The day when there is violence is involed. This is the most favorited day of the whole year. There is only one main reason, and that is the deals!

The main reason why Black Friday is brutal is because of the great amount of deals. Here is one of the websites of the deals. People in the United States acually fight over anything during Black Friday. Recently, over five people have been shot over a stupid little thing during the sales of Black Friday. The deals in the stores like Best Buy, Walmart, and Target etc. are out of the ball park they are so low. That is the main reason why Black Friday is what it is.

Some may differ about the deals, and the brutalness that happens during Black Friday. Like, the deals are not that low. Well guarenteed if you look at the link in the other paragraph you will find low deals like nothing. If somebody says something about the fights the only thing to say is search in Youtube Black Friday fights.

Well the most favorited and funniest to video tape day is Black Friday. This day is all about low deals and the burtalest fight ever seen live.

Black Friday is nothing new to Americans. It is the Friday after thanksgiving. Many people don't understand how a day reserved for giving thanks for all the things we have; can be followed by a day we fight for things on sale.

For most stores the sale and madness begins at 12 a.m. and ends at 6 a.m., but for Walmart the rage begins at 10 p.m.. The people in this video they do exactly what is expected... fight. Black Friday is the day where sales go from red (bad) to black (good). The term was truly adopted by the people because of the extreme sales right before Christmas time. I found an article that explains how it went from a huge Macy's sale to black Friday world wide.

In my own opinion black Friday is a very well  thought out plan. As we all no Christmas is in the month of December. This time is filled with kids saying; I want, dear Santa, please mommy, please daddy etc. As you can see it is a time of wanting and giving. People always complain were in a recession, times are hard. We have all made it clear that middle and lower classes have a hard time getting all the things their kids want for Christmas. So why not make a day nationally that puts toys and the nice expensive clothes on sale for 70% off. That is an almost irresistible deal; but wait there is a twist to this offer that is too good too be true. Let's only put out 100 of the most popular barbies this year, the top selling PlayStation game, and the cutest pair of Uggs.

So can you see what I was talking about, it isn't hard to see that this is not generosity it is a show that we put on for them every year.

Kay so Thanksgiving 2012 Myths and Facts says, "Little is known about the first Thanksgiving dinner in Plimoth (also spelled Plymouth) Colony in October 1621, attended by some 50 English colonists and about 90 Wampanoag American Indian men in what is now Massachusetts.

We do know that the Wampanoag killed five deer for the feast, and that the colonists shot wild fowl—which may have been geese, ducks, or turkey. Some form, or forms, of Indian corn were also served.

But Jennifer Monac, spokesperson for the living-history museum Plimoth Plantation, said the feasters likely supplemented their venison and birds with fish, lobster, clams, nuts, and wheat flour, as well as vegetables, such as pumpkins, squashes, carrots, and peas.

"They ate seasonally," Monac said in 2009, "and this was the time of the year when they were really feasting. There were lots of vegetables around, because the harvest had been brought in."

Much of what we consider traditional Thanksgiving fare was unknown at the first Thanksgiving. Potatoes and sweet potatoes hadn't yet become staples of the English diet, for example. I don't know about you but that pretty much sums it up for me! PEOPLE AREN'T EVEN DOING THE TRADITIONAL THANKS GIVING!!! I'm sorry, this post is really weak. I couldn't find any other super interesting stories. :(

If you read my other post, you would know that I don't consider Thanksgiving as an actual holiday so when I hear that people aren't even doing it right, it makes me think," Hey, if everyone actually did Thanksgiving traditionally, maybe I would..." JUST KIDDING! I probably wouldn't like it like that anyway. LOL I'm so funny!

Black Friday after Thanksgiving, a big LOL to that.

Oh yeah, it's thursday, we all gather round the table and make prayers, then feast, say our thanks to all the wonderful things we have been blessed with. Eat turkey, ham, potato, gravy, (Whatever YOU eat at Thanksgiving). having a wonderful time with your family and friends and saying thanks. Just thanks, thanks for everything we're given, and for the things we have, say thanks (to whoever you say thanks to). Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Oh hello, its friday now, okay lets wait in a mile long line outside of walmart so we can get good prices on stuff we dont actually need! oh yay, the store is open, now lets all rush in pushing people out of our way so we can get some cool spoons and forks! Oh no, that lady is going for our spoons and forks too! Quick tackle her! Phew, that was a close one, she almost got our spoons. Ok now lets look around for what else we can get! Ooo look at that flashlight! Pretty! WHATT?!@#%!? only $1.00??? OH SNAP DIGGITY DOG. Lets grab 13 of them! What a steal!!
Ok now lets wait in line at the cash register... *lady cuts in front* "UMM EXSCUSSEEEE MEEE?" "Can you wait in line like errbody else in this store??" *lady shakes her head* "OH ITS ON NOWWWWW!!!" --------Stuff happens, it wasn't pretty-------

Ok now we're home, (now your thankful that the security gaurds came) get some ice put it on your bruises, get some left over turkey, eat it (offcourse) Put your spoons away, have a disco with 13 flash lights, get tired, then go to your bedroom, lie down, then cry yourself to sleep.

Black Friday!

In the article Black Friday, it says that Black Friday is a time where stores lower their prices to attract customers. Black Friday is first friday after Thanksgiving and is also said to be the official day to begin the holiday shopping season. People go to the stores for the low prices and the stores hope that the low prices attract customers. 

Some stores only lower their higher priced items, and other stores lower all of their items prices to get a high amount of small profits. But in conclusion Black Friday is a day of low prices and a day that can create jobs.

On Black Friday I have heard some erratic stories of people arguing and even to the point where they place hands on each other for an item. They are probably arguing because of an item, and maybe that was the last item and two people grabbed it at the same time and BOOM! 

I unfortunately have had the pleasure and displeasure of seeing this agruing. I say pleasure and displeasure because it was amusing and sad to see people argue over clothing, electronics, and other items.

My and my mom went to Walmart on Black Friday to get me and iPod and headphones; we had to clue what was in store for us. People were every where you couldn't go into ANY isle without at least ten other people there in the isle. We slowly made our way back to the back and that is where I saw the in counter of two elderly women arguing over the last pair of pink Gummy headphones. 

They were arguing and yelling at each other. The two ladies probably would have got into a fist fight if my mom hadn't got into and resolved the issue.

So in conclusion, Black Friday is a day of low prices.

Thanksgiving or Black Friday?

After celebrating Thanksgiving the past week I have noticed that Half of every person I know, instead of being with their family, were outside of Walmart in the cold just to get 30% off all their needs. Now Black Friday is a really cool day don't get me wrong but, I don't know why people would rather spend things that aren't even necessary at the time just to get a good price on anything they can get their hands on. And what I don't get is that a day before Black Friday we celebrate giving thanks for what we are already blessed with, yet the next day you go off spending your money on anything you can find. Isn't it just simply a stupid time of year to do that? Of course it's really good that the prices are low due to the fact that the economy is bad but still, If Black Friday was celebrated a week before Thanksgiving I would be fine with it.

Me and my family went off to the mall and everything was gone, all the shoes, clothes, supplies, and furniture were just gone. And this was two days after Black Friday! Now I read a newspaper that said more than four of the five things that stores sell were gone the day after Black Friday and I believe it was in Spanish for some reason. That's crazy! While I was gobbling up on ham and turkey while watching the cowboys play everyone was shopping! Therefore Black Friday should be celebrated another day other than the one after we should spend time with our family with.

WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT IS AND ISN'T OKAY?

Oh so I hear you don't think plastic surgery is okay for people. Well sorry but who are you to tell someone what they want isn't okay? Do you dye your hair? Do you use any type of hot iron on your hair? Do you wear make up? This is mainly going out the girls but in some cases for guys too. Tell me you don't do anything about your appearance to make you look better.

I know at least 4 people who improved themselves artificially and do I care? NO. It's their body, let them do what they want. I stretched my ears before and do I care if my mom or sister or friends don't like them? No I don't because it's my body. If anybody I know wants to get botox why would I think badly about it? They can do what they want, I'm no one to tell them it's wrong because I'm not perfect and neither is anyone else.

Sure you may not like how they look but you should just worry about your apperance. Unless you're a jerk who likes judging people because you secretly have issues of your own and only TRY to cope by putting others down. If so, you should get some help.

In conclusion, I'm just sayin' you should'nt judge people by the things they like or their apperance. Saying it's not okay IS ALSO NOT OKAY. Don't be a jerk face and worry about yourself kay? Kay. [:

Fortunate against less fortunate

                                                    The Fortunate Against The Less Fortunate

Why do people who more fortunate pick on people less fortunate? I am not talking about illness or disabilities. I am talking about the fact that people with more money  think  it's  o.k. to pick on people who don't have so much. 

Commonly these people feel this way, because they believe for whatever sick reason that they are superior to the less fortunate. I do not understand this thought, because no matter how many zero's you have on your pay check, the right to miss treat someone is never your's. In all reality just like kinder gardeners when they don't understand something they react in a negative way. These fortunate people most likely don't understand why the less fortunate are less fortunate.

I'm not ashamed to say I live in a single parent home,and no I can't afford things that kids with a TWO parent household can. Does that mean I deserve to be teased? No! Just because your boots are $200 and mine were $60, you don't have the right to treat me as if I'm  a  piece of trash.  In  elementary  they shoved this thing called the golden rule which said, " Treat others as you want to be treated." Did we all forget about those simple yet meaningful words? Apparently  we  got  a  little  money and  threw  them  away.

No matter how much or how little money you make we all deserve to be treated equal. No one has the right to treat someone badly because they have less money.

NEVER SATISFIED

     Most people are never satisfied with what they have in front of them and they need more to be happy with themselves. I know I am, for example, my sister, she has all the barbies a full scale barbie house and she still whines about not getting the toys on the commercials,"can you buy me that Brucey?or Mommy?", I hear this many times a day, sometimes I have to say Yes and lie to her so that she would stop bothering me. She can never get enough of the stuff, she wants a new toy every minute! And after a week or two I see her newly bought toy somewhere on the carpet collecting dust, she doesnt even play with the toy anymore after a while.

Most people just cant stop asking for more, like rich people, they just want to do what ever they can until they get richer and richer, until they are satisfied, which is never offcourse. I'm not saying ALL the rich people are like this but most, usually the ones with businesses. Hardly anyone gets satisfied with what they have, like ipods, iphones, ipads, once they get one theyre already asking for the next version, I know I did, but I would never get it though. Usually if someone wants something and they get it, they're very happy and cheerful right? But after that they start to want something else, for instance imagine a little kid wanting a little toy action figure, once he gets it and plays with it, it will get old to them, then they'll want something even more! When I was smaller I would want every toy that I saw, doesn't mean I would be able to have it though. Though there are SOME good kids which are thankful and are satisfied with what they are given, but seriously, think back when you were a little kid, as soon as you got the toy you wanted, you would want another one... just think about it. Most people know what I'm talking about, but you could be one of those good kids which are satisfied with what they get. I'm thankful for what I am given, but I still keep wanting more, its just natural for me by now, its hard to stop wanting more stuff. For another example, christmas is coming up, I would be glad to have one present, but i would also want another, then another, and it goes on... I don't know if I'm the only one but yeah, the more the marrier for me, Makes me sound kind of like a jerk though. Hopefully im not the only one.

Stand Up for Who You Are!

I have experienced many situations in which I have had to stake a stand. Among these was one in particular that I'll never forget. It was a hot day, about 92 degrees, and my stomach was wanting some enchiladas. I went home and my mom was cooking a bean burrito so right away instead of eating this piece of overly cooked frijoles I told her," Mom I believe that me and my fellow siblings would like to eat some delicious spicy enchiladas." Right away she responded to a no so I stood up for what I thought was right and I made myself and my siblings some enchiladas. Of course it may sound a bit whimsical but a man has have to have his enchiladas once in a while, well I do apparently. But what I'm trying to tell you is that no matter if it's about religion, opinions, or even a delicious Mexican food always know that standing up for what you believe in can make a big difference, for example in my case I got a delightful meal that even my mom wanted afterwards.

If you don't often step in and make your point about things your bright ideas might never be adopted to make changes in the world. I read about Gandhi who was the man of peace, from which did not want war and even though they got ambushed and attacked by the rivalry they won the Battle! His people and him stood up for what they believed in which was world peace and afterwards the outcome became positive. Therefore in order to be successful in life you have to step up in what you believe in. Overall this concept was very fascinating and I can't wait to read "Flowers for Algernon".

Plastic Surgery? Cosmetics? Steriods? Laser Surgery?

Some people say that plastic surgery, cosmetics, steroids, and other things to improve your body are bad for you. Well I agree but I disagree with them.

I agree with them because you should be happy with your body and the way you are. God made you how you were supposed be. Nothing should have to be improved that’s on your body. However some people might have a birthmark on there face and want to get rid of it. There is nothing wrong with wanting little things or spots on your body and you wanting to get rid of them.

It becomes a problem when you want to tear apart there face and basically get a new one. I have seen girls on TV go on the Oprah Show or Ellen Show and talk about why they got a "new face".

Some girls say because their cheeks bones were too high and wanted to get "new" ones. Or some girl’s might want an area in the body larger and get implants. That where it becomes a problem and it is sad to see that people have gotten plastic surgery and they look like a whole new person.

That's where the line needs to be drawn. People should be happy with them selves and not want to change everything about them selves. But little things like laser surgery to get rid of a mole or stretch marks isn't a bad thing because you aren't going to look like a new person after your mole or something like that is off your body.

Thanks Giving?

Thanksgiving is a time of thankfulness. To love one another and to be thankful for what you have and who you have in your life.

There are so many things to be thankful for, family, friends, a roof over your head, food and etc. Thanksgiving came from the Pilgrims, it was their way of thanking God. Today some people still celebrate it that way others do not see it as a religious thing.

There is much to be thankful for. Being able to wake up and go to school (although we may not want to ), be safe in our homes and a bunch of other things. I am thankful for my family and friends out of all the things I am thankful for. My family and friends are always there for me so I am always thankful for them, whether it's thanksgiving or not. If you have a family and friends that are there for you like mine is be thankful. There are so many people in this world that wish they even had a family to be there for them, to comfort them.

Another thing that I am very thankful for is to be able to get a good education. There are so many kids in the world that wish they could go to school in the mornings and learn. In America kids have to clue how good he have it. To be able to go to school and get a good education. I take pride in it that I can get an education for free.

In conclusion thanksgiving is a time where everyone should be thankful for everything, even the little things that we don't think about. We should be thankful every day for the things we have.

Im Thankful This Year For.....

Thanksgiving is a Holiday that has many different interpretation's. Everyone has their own "outlook" on thanksgiving, some people are excited about the food,or the parties. This thanksgiving I am thankful that my sister is coming home.

My sister lives in San Rafael, which is close to San Fransisco. It may not seem that far too you but we have been together all of my life. I don't complain, because she is in college doing something to better her life. So I just stay positive about the situation, but on the inside I wish she was here.

Kay so we have a complicated relationship, because she is not a "touchcy feely" person, and I am. We bump heads all the time about everthing, but she is like my second mom. She has been gone for 3 months and 15 days. That is really alot of time to be away from the person who completes me. I see your face while your reading this, you think I'm like obssessed with her. No! Is it so bad too love your bestfriend.

Well everyone has something their thankful for, rather it's vacation or food. I am thankful this thanksgiving, because my sister,bestfriend,otherhalf,and my therapist is coming home.

THANKSGIVING ISN'T EVEN A HOLIDAY TO ME

Hi there. As you may know from my title, Thanksgiving isn't concidered a holiday in my book. I don't even like how my dad makes the turkey. Sure it's the day pilgrams founded whatever, and when you're supposed to be thankful for everything you have (Hence the name "Thanksgiving")Well I don't know about you but every morning I thank God for another day of life. There really doesn't need to be a holiday for it.

This holiday was created for probably 2 reasons:

1. Since every month has a Holiday, people decided to make up this one for November

2. People want an excuse to eat alot

Thanksgiving is only letting us know that we aren't grateful/thankful for the things we are blessed with ALL YEAR so we get 1 day out of 365 to celebrate it. It's just another day for me. I'm not saying I hate/dislike Thanksgiving because I don't. I'm just saying it's not useful. [: Other than the fact that I get a whole week off because of it. :D

My family seems to enjoy it, they get together & stuff but in my opinon, Black Friday should be a more traditional holiday than Thanksgiving! I'm not going to talk to you about Black Friday because I'm too lazy to look up how it originated & everything. All I know is that it's a day where everything is on sale. Way better holiday than Thanksgiving.

So there, my opinion on Thanksgiving! (As if anybody even cares. To be honest, I don't read anybodys posts and I highly doubt anyone reads mine all the way to the end. Unless you want to prove me wrong. If you did read this then comment, yeah? Awesome.)

Gobble Gobble!

Thanksgiving is the time of year you reflect on being thankful for what you have. It it also a great way to spend time with all your family especially the ones you haven't come in contact with for quite a long time. Some say that the food is the best part about Thanksgiving, others say that giving thanks is more of a better way to celebrate it. Either way, every one comes together and enjoys the time being celebrated as a family to give thanks. But then again, it is also fun watching the Dallas Cowboys play every Thanksgiving, on my perspective. It tops off all the food in your stomach and exhaustion from playing football outside with your relatives. But really, what is the one important thing about Thanksgiving is the fact that you have a family that loves you and gives you confidence on what you want to strive in.


I believe that everyone can agree that Thanksgiving is a time to sit back and enjoy the life they're living. Otherwise Thanksgiving is another mean-less Holiday such as Halloween. Therefore give thanks on what you have such as, a house, food, shelter, and a family which some people sadly don't have but if we all come together we can all be one big happy family and not have to worry about being left out. Overall Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year, I can't wait to celebrate it with my family and hopefully you enjoy your Thanksgiving too,Bye!

P.E. is Good.

P.E. is a very fun to have. There are three main reasons why i think that. This gives children time to get exercise through the day.

One of the reasons why p.e. is good is that it gives you a daily dose of exercise. Many of the children at many schools do not do any movement at all except for going to different classes. There are many activities to do and they are also very fun. That is my first reason why i think p.e. is good.

Second reason why p.e. is good it is better than staying in a class. Would you rather stay in a class or go outside and do fun activities. From many peoples perspective That how it most likely said. In a classroom you sit for approximently a hour. Then in p.e. you play football and one that is most favorite s sharks and minos. Even thoe its a childish game.

Other might argue that all they do is run in p.e.. Okay i would see where your coming from but if people were to see you in p.e. you would be doing an activity. Then another arguement that would be made is that most of the time you get only to listen to the instructions that were given. Its because you get bored and start talking so your p.e. teacher stops and waits which is a time killer.

People would rather be in p.e. than sit in a classroom for a hour. P.e. is active to the people who need it to. Here is a link to where are your questions are answered. P.e. is fun!

PE is soooo fit!! (sarcasm)

just a bunch of kids doing some stretches, maybe a little basketball, volleyball, take a lap, then sit down then go back to class!!

     You may disagree, and that we do much more than this, well you might be right, but in my case, we barely do anything, we sit down do warm ups on our numbers, some jumping jacks, pushups, touch your toes, after that we take a nice lap around the track, then it takes like 10 minutes for everyone to regroup and sit back down on our numbers. Then the teacher gives us a few instructions on what were going to do for the rest of day, like if were going to play volleyball she teaches us how to hit it with our hands, or if its basketball she doesnt teach us anything because, its kind of complicated to explain the rules of basketball and how to shoot and everything else. Then we play for 5-15 minutes then they blow the whistle and it takes 5 minutes to get everyone to sit down and get calm, then we get dismissed to dress out. 

     Then on thursdays we go into the fitness room, so we sit on our numbers for 5-10 minutes waiting for our teacher to come out, then we do warm ups, take a lap, then it takes another 5-10 minutes to get lined up and walk to the fitness room, then after were inside it takes another 5-10 minutes for her to talk to us and tell us some stuff, it usually takes longer cause she gets interupted many times, then after that we lift waits run on the treadmill do other things for 5-10 minutes then someone does something wrong and we all get in trouble and she tells us to sit down then she talks to us for 5 minutes and she gets interupted many times, then we work out for another 5-10 minutes then the period is over and we go to get dressed up.

     Basically what I'm trying to say is we hardly have enough time to do our activities because, of certain delays, first its the teacher taking forever to get to class, then the warm ups, then we have to regroup after a lap, then we get interuptions when she is talking and giving interuptions. By then we hardly have any time to play basketball, soccer, football, etc. and when were actually doing the activities we usually just socialize because, there is usually no format, like there are no arranged scrimages so we are just spread around bouncing our balls and talking, only very few actually participate fully. Sometimes we have competitive events like softball, where its one class versus the other, but students who barely try ruin it for everyone, its usually the most athletic and the most enthusiastic actually scoring and participating, noone really participates, and when we participate we hardly have any time TOO participate. Maybe in the later days we will use the time fully and actually do more extensive activities.

     Suposedly I looked at this article... to be honest I could not find an article, and I think my self experience would be better information for this blog post.

                                    Instagram is social picture sharing. If I might say it's quit addicting. 

 

When I first heard of instagram I thought it was pointless to post pictures just for likes, but after I made it I couldn't stop.The whole concept is a little confusing, because all you do is try to get followers by following people,and posting good pictures for alot of likes.

 

I have only had my instagram for a couple of months, and I have 300 pictures,and 167 followers. It may seem like alot "167",but it's not some people have thousands! Sheesh I wish I had that many followers. Well since I've told you why I like it I'll tell you how to make an instagram and maybe even get alot of followers.

 

1. You have to create an acount and password

2. You create a profile (picture,information)

3. You add you first picture

4. Go and search the names of people you know

5. Once you find them "follow" them or add them as your friend

 

Well if you follow these steps you can have a sucessful instagram! Hey you may even do better than me and have thousands of followers. Hopefully you enjoy instagram as much as I do.

Why P.E is not Important?

Physical education also known as P.E is now something kids must do every day, because of some pointless law. The law pretty much is in place so that kids do not become oboist,or too over weight.

I believe that a child should not have to participate in physical education if they do not need too. This law was intended to cut down on or prevent child obesity. So if you are not oboist or even close to becoming oboist why should have to do p.e.

Parents should be responsible for their child's weight. They should not depend on the school to keep their child in the shape that they should be.If anything schools should make p.e. an after school choice, and not a mandatory for everyone. If your thinking I am picking on kids who need a little extra help in the exercise department, I am not. All I am saying is that if kids are in healthy shape they should not have to do all the extra running,push-ups, sit-ups,or the other ridiculous exercises.

 Exercise is important for health, and should be done on the regular. If you have a problem with the way you or your child looks you can change it, by exercising. It is your choice and no one elses.



It has been debated that certain sports should be banned from school. Such as dodgeball. People say that it should be banned because it may "hurt" children's feelings if they lose, or get hit with the ball. I could see why they wouldn't want any kids to get hurt but, a little third grader isn't going to throw a ball like a thirty year old man would. So they fact that they think that they would get hurt by the ball is a little far fetched.

People also think that dodgeball and other games that eliminate players might "damage" or "scar" the kids emotionally. This is erratic! Children need to be able to know and understand that when they play a game they aren't always going to win. If they ban things that can teach children to understand that they aren't always going to win then when they grow up, they will have the wrong mentality. When they grow up and apply for a job and they do not get the job, how are they going to take that?

Thats why we need games like dodgeball and other games that eliminate players to teach kids that its okay to lose. It's not going to hurt their feelings or emotions it can teach them to not be a sore loser, and suck it up and be ready for the real world.

But, if we only have games like dodgeball that is not enough exercise for a child(although its good exercise). They should have 60 minutes or more exercise a week according to "How Much Physical Exercise Do Children Need?". Most children do not get even that much exercise, so if in schools they did more activities that had physical education they might reach the 60 minutes.

You can add more time for physical education. And during that time have the children run, play sports and do other exercising activities.

Children really need this time to exercise, people may think that they may get "hurt", and emotionally "damaged", but they need it, it is a part of growing up to get hurt emotionally and physically.

Physical Education?

After reading this article on how physical education is controversial I have come to the conclusion that physical education is beneficial to all of the people that attend school. In the United States over 1/3 of children are obese. Physical Education can make this unhealthy nation, that feeds on Big Macs and Whoppers, healthier by burning those excessive calories that are consumed. Therefore exercising in school can assure that you are burning the calories instead of not doing them at home. Overall P.E is necessary in today's education.

I also want to state that Physical Education can lead you to a wider range of careers such as being a coach of any sport. Or you can also be a personal trainer from which I hear get paid very well. Also, this can help lead many students into staying away from drugs and alcohol by keeping their minds above the influence. This can also help stop bullies from making fun of obese children by knowing that their trying their best on everything they can do from being fat. As for the kids who believe P.E is useless they don't appreciate the fact that this is given to them in order to stay in shape and away from bullies. 

In the end everyone has different points of views on whether P.E is useful or not. But the fact is that P.E is given to be beneficial to our lives not to make them miserable. Overall I believe this can be settled in various reasonable ways therefore It's nothing to be worried about in the near future.

What symbolizes love? To its roses! Roses have many thing that are romantic! It has three main characteristics. One how it's so beautiful. Two how it smells good. Third I don't why but girls get all excited when they get roses.

A letter also symbolizes love. A letter can express the feelings of an other person. It also shows that they care because if they didn't send you a letter it means "What Ever." It is also a surprise of what is written in the letter.

Chocolate is love I don't know why but it is. People on valintines day all I see is chocolate. I don't know why but girls like chocolate I guess.

Writing stuff on each other is one to I guess. I see everyone now a days having I <3 you on there hands. Every where you go guaranteed you would see someone with that on there hands.

Okay let's just say anything you give to a girl symbolizes love in some sort of way. Except for garbage. So that's a little list of what symbolizes love.

DO FAT KIDS REALLY NEED P.E.?

I hope you like my title,it was just so you would open my post by the way. Haha gotcha! [; Today I'm gonna write (type) a post about physical education. There isn't really an argument to this, P.E. is essential for everyone in grade school. (except in some cases)

In this article, it says kids gain more weight when they're out of school than when they're in it. But who says it's because of P.E.? Maybe it's the food they eat at home. P.E. could really have nothing to do with anything because it's not important. At all.

Personally, I really enjoy P.E. because it's easy for me and probably my favorite class for the fact that it doesn't consist of having to write any thing. I'd rather play volleyball than write stuff down in a freezing classroom. Wouldn't you?

In some cases, I don't think P.E. is very necessary though as well. See, every Friday at my school (who's name I am not going to mention because there could be creeps out there reading this) once every week we go into our fitness room. We have partners right? And about 4 or 5 minuets per machine we use for working out. The teacher blows a whistle in the middle of the 4 or 5 minuets so everyone would switch with their partner for a turn on their machine, which is really only giving kids about 2 1/2 minuets per machine for the 30 minuets of class we have. That doesn't make a difference at all.

If you think about it, P.E. isn't all that important. Now I'm not going to tell you what I think schools need to do to help kids get a better work out because all you really have is 50 minuets a day including the 10 minuets of dressing out and reporting to your class and the 10 minuets of being dismissed and dressing out again all in one period.

So there, P.E. is almost completely useless but I'm still %100 for it because we just do less c: byebye!

Hi there! I'm currently typing an extra credit blogpost for you beautiful people about MUSIC! The biggest thing in my life, cause well it's just so wonderful. I'm currently listening to Changing by The Airborne Toxic Event from this new app I got, it lets me download FREE MUSIC. *o* I love it.

And there's this big band called OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) and to be honest, I've never heard any of their songs! Just to put that out there. I'm more into rock. Like Anberlin- which I'm currently listening to right now FROM THE BEST APP EVER. Wait it just changed.. To Linkin Park.(x

So yeah! I love music. It's so amazing. I almost want to be a musician, apart from being a skydiving instructor. Cause that would be freakin awesome as well. And working with Rob Dyrdek cause that is just.. Too incredible to even imagine. It truly is.

Anyway, I know I don't look like the ROCKER type. Probably cause I'm not. I really like the genre but I also like alternative and indie rock and rap. Just everything but COUNTRY. I DO NOT LIKE THAT whatsoever. Except for Taylor Swift... But she's more pop in my opinion.

Roses,chocolate,cards,and hearts all represent love in their own way,but still mean almost the same thing.There are many symbols that represent love,but the one that all around represents it is the heart.  The definition of love is a profoundly tender,passionate affection for another person.


When you think about the heart you think about love. Right? Your heart is where you keep all your emotions and what you care about. When people talk about their heart it's usually the most important part in a relationship because it holds all of your feelings.When you feel sad, there is something that makes your heart "heavy" and when excited they say it skips a beat, but we have all felt that warm feeling when we are in love or in a loving moment. The shape of the heart that symbolises love today wasnt always what  it was. In ancient times, seeds of the plant Siphilum were used for birth control
and they were shaped like the heart we see today. The greeks sought this as a symbol of love because it was way for sexual activities increasing romance.

The heart has long been used as a symbol to refer to the spiritual, emotional, moral, and in the past, also intellectual core of a human being. As the heart was once widely believed to be the seat of the human soul is now used and stylized to depict a symbol for love.

On the other hand the heart symbol is also thought to be derived from the shape made by swans' necks in a courting ritual, which resembles the heart shape.

Rocks=love...

...NOOOOOT. Come on really? A rock? I guess everyone's perspective is different. Personally I think an ordinary kiss would be the perfect symbol. It shows love and affection, and usually there's that crack fizzle pop when that happens, we'll unless your giving a like a kiss on the cheek to your mother (AWKWAAARDDD).

I'm pretty sure fireworks shouldn't be going off if you kiss your mom/dad aunt/uncle.. Blehhh. You know what I mean by a kiss.. A bad way of looking at it would be if the kiss is completely bland and you don't feel the love. Haha. Then that means something's wrong, SORRYY.

The worst symbol of love to me would be dirt, it shows how it used to be something strong and solid but slowly erodes away to dust. Which gets stepped on and blown away and treated like crap. If you think about it, almost everything ends up turning into dust and eventually erodes. But not a kiss, it's mentally implanted into your brain, and unless your old and have memory problems then you probably won't forget about it. Or dead.. The love will stay with you until you die haha. KISSES=LOVE 👍

Love Symbolism

Cupid, on my opinion, is a very solid symbol of love. Why you may ask? Well, Cupid is known as the god of love whom which made people have affection towards one another by shooting them with an arrow. Now you may think Cupid is just a creep who goes around shooting people with arrows but really, he is a true symbol of love because he doesn't just roam around and make people fall in love. He Makes them fall in love for the right reasons like for instance, say an nerd meets a super model, not that there's anything wrong with nerds but, if they two fall in love they have been drawn to one another supposedly because of Cupid. Cupid also appears in many cartoons, movies, and even songs such as '' Cupid's Choke-hold '' br The Gym Class Heroes as a symbolic structure of love at first sight or so called.

A big proportion of people say Cupid is stupid because he's not real. He may not be real but in reality he symbolizes the time you lay eyes on your soul mate, your girlfriend, or basically someone who will eventually be important later on in your life.Surely if these people disagree, who knows? They might even be Cupid's next victim.

Family And Close Friends

In my opinion the best symbol of love is family and friends. Some people might say that objects are a symbol of love, but, objects such as wedding rings, and other medallions and objects. How can an object such as these represent love? Family and friends can represent love.

Family can show love by being their for you when you need them. If you are going through a tough time family can be their for you and comfort you in your time of need. Or if you are having a tough financial time they might be able to assist you. And will probably always be there for you when you need them.

I have had tough times in my life when I needed my family. An example is when my Aunt Mary passed away. We were very close, but the rest of my family was not close to her, they did not even speak to each other. But when she passed my family was their to comfort me when I needed comfort. And a ring or object cannot hug you and say everything will be okay, but family can and always will.

Close friends are also a great symbol of love. Close friends are there to help you with things in your life that are difficult, and they can give you advise on your personal life. An example of personal would be relationship issues, drama, things on Tv, etc.

Close friends are great for getting advise on things that are more personal because they are probably your age and might be going through something similar unlike most family members such as, mom, dad, uncle grandmas, and grandpas because they are older and might not connect as much as your close friends. Close friends are going to be there to give advise to you when you need it, but once again objects won't be.

So, in conclusion a good symbol of love is family and close friends because love is affectionate and kind.

Marriage rings, hearts, roses, chocolate, the colors pink and red.. you know what it means? A PIECE OF METAL ON YOUR FINGER, A VITAL ORGAN THAT PUMPS BLOOD THROUGHOUT YOUR BODY, A PRICKLY FLOWER THAT COMES OUT OF DIRT, A CANDY THAT'LL MAKE YOU FAT, THE SAME COLORS AS A HEART THAT PUMPS BLOOD. It also means love. I bet you didn't know that huh?

LOVE. It's supposed to mean a certain kind of feeling two people have when they are together, or something like a special connection. Well all it really is, is a word made up of four letters from the alphabet containing L,O,V, and E. A very random combination of four different letters and they're supposed to mean a very special feeling like no other? Okay.

Different people may have different symbols of love for one another. Like maybe something such as a souvenir from a memory you had with someone. Say a couple went to the park and found a quarter. That day also happened to be the most happiest day of their life. One of them kept the quarter and then made it into a necklace by drilling a hole into it, followed by putting a chain through it. That's all it is, a quarter with a chain. But when the person gives it to the other and reminds them of that day, that's a symbol of love. You get me? [:

If you don't, you're obviously too young or immature to understand what I mean. That's why I'm gonna give you ANOTHER example! Alright, say your lovely mother or anyone you love dearly such as a family member hugged you. To someone who DOESN'T HAVE A SOUL, all that might be is two people putting their arms around each other. But really, it's that nice warm feeling you get when you know that person cares for you and has a special bond with you like nobody else [:

Why Twilight Why!?

Why ban stories just because you don't like them? Maybe someone else in the world likes that story, and now they can't even go to the public library and check it out. I mean come on read the back of the cover to see what is about,and if you don't like I don't read it!

Twilight is one of those stories that people often prejudge like this person.Oh it's stupid, it's about wolves and vampires. Well have you have even read this book or even seen the movie?The saying don't judge a book by it's cover really comes into play when talking about Twilight.Only because simple minded people won't even  give the story a chance.I bet half of you have not read this book because it involves vampires and wolves.

For those of you that have not had the chance to read this story, I will end your wondering missery and tell you what it is about.This story is about a teen girl named Bella Swan who falls in love with a very "seasoned" vampire named Edward Cullen. There is also a "super" wolf named Jacob Black Who is in love with Bella and is hurt because he is not her choice.It may not seem like it but it is a beautiful love story,about the choice we all must make.We all know it is love.

Many people don't like this story because in the end the girl ends up with the vampire and will have to turn into a vampire and leave her family.Instead of her choosing the boy who loves her and will not make her lose or change and anything.Everyone has their preference when it comes to anything they do.

So if it's not to much to ask don't judge a book by its cover.

Inappropriate?

On ABC News they have a list of books that are banned, have been banned, or challenged. I agree with some of the books that should be banned, and their are some that should not be banned.

I do not agree that the book, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, should be banned because they use they term "N-Word". I think that is an insignificant reason to ban a book. I believe people that read this book should know the history of this word. Just because in this day and age people take it the bad way and even use it as a slang word does not mean that they should ban a book. Especially since that is the only reason why it was or is banned.

I also agree with the banning of the book, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings. One of the reasons this book was banned, or has been banned was because of the "bitterness and hatred toward white people...." This reason is decent reason because if someone was treating someone else badly like what is happening in the story, it might teach someone to hate someone because of what they have done when you are supposed to forgive them, not hate them.

I strongly agree with the banning of the book, And the Tango Makes Three. This book promotes that homosexuality is "okay". Just because penguins are being used instead of humans does not mean that it doesn't promote homosexuality, it is just being promoted in a different way.

I see why certain books are on this list and some should not be on the list because of little things such as a certain words, emotions and other things.

You may be thinking,''Harry Potter has a book series rival?''. Well no, after reading this article about books that have been banned and challenged,or been taking under consideration into banning, from libraries and schools, I have come to a disagreement. On my perspective books are meant to make the writer and reader think. For example, Edgar Allen Poe's stories have dark and unique twisted ways to keep the reader on the edge of their seats. But other people, like Englishanswerman's mom, don't like the message it gives out to students. ''The Tell-Tale Heart,'' is basically about a murderer who kills an old man He loves due to the fact that the old man supposedly has an ugly looking eye. Now, Edgar does a great job on giving the view point of the narrator, but then again, some people think its inappropriate for kids to read because its violent. If the readers are mature enough they can read this story but as appose to the ''sensitive ones,'' they shouldn't even read the title.


People who think some books are inappropriate are over-exaggerating the content in the book, for example the children's book about two penguins watching their eggs hatch. These ''sensitive people,'' think that it exposes bad content to the reader, but think for a second, its a children's book meant for children. Technically most books are meant for the expansion of the human knowledge on literature. But some people take the stories and basically think wrong, which I think is ridiculous.

as long as it isn't 50 shades of grey

I was reading this article and it's kind of funny how I have read most of the books listed. All of them were good books and some of them turned out to be good movies as well. They tried banning, or did ban these amazing books! Harry potter, Hunger games, and Perks of being a Wallflower. Parents or schools are usually the ones which challenge the books to being banned.

But personally, if 50 Shades of gray still isn't banned then everything else is fine, mostly because nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is worse than 50 shades of gray. NOTHING, there are many reasons of why a book should be banned, but not many that I would agree with, some that I would agree with is when there is a kids book with graphic messages or pictures inside of them (killing/sexuality) those should obviously be banned.

Books like hunger games with violence and love are sort of normal now a days, and if your trying to ban that then that would mean trying to ban all the other books that are alike. Personally I am a HUGE fan of the Hunger Games Series, I love all of the books, finished them all in a WEEK. If they were banned I would be out for blood (not really, well.. you get it.)And when the movie came out I went crazy, I was mostly excited about how the characters would look like and sound like. Hunger Games is probably the best series of books I have ever read, and I'm looking forward to the movies.

But if I was in class reading a book with nudity and sex, it would be really awkward, so yeah, those shouldn't be allowed in school, but books like hunger games, KEEP THEM COMING PLEASE.
